Powder coating suspension - ok with bushes in?

Hiya, I'm thinking of getting my suspension arms etc powder coated but will the heat ruin the bushes? Do they need removing first and replacing after? If so then it would become too expensive.

I'm thinking about maybe doing them (or some of them) green - Rover Java green. White car and underbody, black wheels. Whadda ya think?

    yes they will melt.

Powder coaters wont do it with any rubber residue in there at all, you will have to remove / replace them.

I was thinking about this as well i have the advantage of being ableto remove all the bearings/rubber as they are rose jointed arms but I am also looking at getting Parts Anodised as it would be a lot more durable but i need to find out if it would effect the suspension legs as the powder coating has given up

Anodising is for aluminium alloy, not steel. You could have the arms bead blasted to clean bare metal, degreased and Kephos coated, which is a semi gloss black phospate finish as used on aircraft and race car parts, but I guess black isn't what you are looking for? Kephos can be applied and dried cold. http://www.chriswilson.tv/kephos.pdf I can do it, but it's not very cheap I am afraid, but it is a superb surface finish for steel.
