FIA European Drag Racing Championships including UEM Drag Bikes , Sunday 10th Sept

Europe's most prestigious Drag Racing event with over 250 race teams inc. 300mph Top Fuel Dragsters, Top Methanol Dragsters and Funny Cars, Pro Mods, Pro Stock plus Drag Bikes and many supporting classes. Jet Car demos and track displays.

    http://www.santapod.co.uk/e_europe_finals.php

Anyone interested put your name below.

Guaranteed it will be a great day watching some of the most powerfull cars on the planet & something that has to been seen live to appreciate how quick & how much bloody noise they make. Watching on the TV is nothing like seeing a top fueler from 50 feet away.

Maybe a quick bite to eat & a pint in a local pub afterwards

Ooops just made me realalise i didn't put a date

I haven't been for a couple of years now. Used to go to all the drag meets. Previous woman was a bit more into cars than the current domestic manager & we used to go all the time.

I feel the need as well Nigel

If anyone has never seen/felt a Top Fueler from real close up then put your name on the list & do it. It really is an experience & i cant think of anything else quite like it
Should be on everyones list of things to do before you die

Can somebody with more special powers than im allowed please edit the title so the date is in there

Exactly Eddie, first time I saw a fuel car run I was 19 and nearly shat myself

I will invite all that attend to attemp to stand within 6 feet of a Top Fuel car while it is being warmed up in the pitlane. Beleive me when I say the unburnt fuel will make you cry like a girl

One of my mates has strong contacts with Andy Carter, so I will see if we can organise some sort of team breifing from him

That would be pretty cool Nigel. Do you think he'll let us have a drive

Just been watching a video of him at Santa Pod. Thought that was probably what Tim was planning with his car

Boys.....boys.....boys!!! Did you have to put this up on here!!!!

I usually attend this event every year......but this year I cannot go......gutted is an understatement!!!

There is nothing.....and I mean nothing.....that compares in life to a Top Fuel launch and full pass!!!!

In my opinion.....you have not lived until you experience it!

Nothing will prepare you for that very first time.....and I can guarantee that if you live for a rush of adrenaline.....then it most definitely will not be your last!!!!!

Get your names down and enjoy.....enjoy.....enjoy!!!!

Miracles do happen I`m sure and maybe, just maybe, I`ll be standing right along side one of you, keeping my fingers crossed, and my hopes alive!!!!

    Have fun!!!!

    Jo.

I'll be going. Went to the earlier in year FIA drag event.
A friend of mine was standing on the fence near the finish line and it blew har off. I pissed myself for so many hours after that.
Well worth going for the experience.
