    Problems with my daily driver

Hi all, I'm having problems with my daily driver and would appreciate your thoughts.

I have a Hyundai coupe and the other day on the way to work it has suddenly developed some problems. I came off the motorway and when i came to a halt at a roundabout it was idleing very lumpy. It stutters and shudders at idle and when i pull away it is very sluggish. Doesn't seem to happen above 3000rpm but it has lost power and is going through a lot more fuel. I thought it may be the plugs so i changed them and checked the air filter but still the same. The car is due a service which i think should clear it but i'd just like an idea of whats wrong before i take it to the garage.Any ideas would be much appreciated.ccasion14:

    Cheers
    Stevie

The plugs were a wee bit black but nothing out of the ordinary. When i drop down to about 2000rpm its a bit stuttery and it has no power at all (struggles to maintain speed going up a slight hill in 4th. Its a 1.6i. Was thinking possibly the fuel filter or pump??????

Could be a coil pack going down.

Sounds like an egr valve to me my Vectra is doing this as the car's ECU is always telling it to run in cold mode (like a old car on choke all the time) mix this with a faulty ECU Temp sensor mucky too

I was thinking fuel injection temp sensor. Easy way to tell, does it run nicely from cold?
