im getting goodyear eagle F1's fitted tommorow (front only) and have yokos on the back, i will let you know asap how they are but the Yokohama DNA S-drives are awsome but have been told i cant get em in this country (on the car when imported) as the compound is illegal, you can run them only if the car comes with them apparently, no tyre place is allowed to import them for uk fitting though (so i was told)

Project Sleeper GTST......Andy W, Work your magic
Falken F452 are a good dry tyre, Goodyear F1 are good too, not had them myself but Proxies seem to be well regarded

GTROC owners on the whole seem to go for the Goodyear F1s as their fave; but I'm with Bubble on this one - Toyo Proxes T1-Rs.
I've the older design and not quite as good, Toyo Proxes T1-S' on at the moment because I got a cracking deal on them. If you're a little short of cash, this can be a pretty good option if you hunt around. They've been exellent in all weather conditions; so you know the T1-Rs which have a better rep. are going to be brilliant![]()
If you're offered Toyo R888s, they're phenomenal in the dry; but absolutely lethal in the wet.
If you hate them then stick with the Yokohamas, but I'm surprised you found the Toyos terrible in the wet!
You can only go with what you trust![]()

451s aint slipped much this winter
Falken 452's are going on mine all round, not sure what they're like though as of yet.![]()
There is no such thing as cynicism, it is merely realism born out of experience.
I'd recommend against Dunlop 9000s or 9090s, bit average on mine....
F1's (GSD3) for me... cant fault them on a GTSt, when Crail's drift track used to be timed in stages i broke the lap record first time round (RWD) complete with knackered rear shocks and 12 year old standard springs then went on to be 2nd overall behind another of our cars after i spun twice (i really shouldn't remove my brain before doing things like this) and there was alot of coilover'd competition, with it's suspension the way it was, it really was the tyres that were doing all the work.
Even on the faster stuff they are really progressive, keeping it nailed in 4th on corners, if it does break traction at the rear then it is not quickly or violent and often just needs the steering to be backed off a bit rather than handfulls of opposite lock.
I haven't tried T1R's on a Skyline but on an evo they were too twitchy for me, backing off to correct terminal understeer immedietly sent the rear flyling, i've driven lots of evo's and none of them have ever done that regardless of what tyres they had on, but the owner recon'd they were better than the Michelin's he replaced. Different cars / setup's definately suit different tyres.
F1's can seem slippy at the rear when its wet... but 1.2bar of boost can do that to most tyres
You'll notice that i've never mentioned understeer with the GTSt... there was practically none... not bad for a heavy front engined car, even over cooking it and entering corners with the ABS on hardly provoked any!
.... still can't corner as quickly as my Alfa 155 tho

9.2 @ 165mph on low boost
13.6 @ 103mph in a 2.5 ton 4x4
It was me!
TOYO T1-R, i`m looking at a set of these, but a few people have told me that they don`t last very long, so i might go for the falkens
