EGT sensor - quick help needed!

Fitting a downpipe/elbow, decat and cat back to a mates car just now. All was going swimmingly until i came to undo the EGT sensor. It is welded solid, made entirely of rust and becoming rounder by the second.

I know when putting the decat on that the sensor can just be tucked up out of the way somewhere but will cutting it clean off cause any problems?

if it's the lamba sensor your thinking of then asfaik you can cut it off but make sure you wrap it in insulating tape before you tuck it back it in

it may light up a bulb on the dash so you may need to remove that

it should still be wires perhaps they are just sheilded , cats do get very hot
