R33 gtst auto stalling problem help please!!

    Hello guys,

This is my first post and I was hoping someone could help me with an issue I have with my 1996 r33 gtst auto. The problem is it stalls.. a lot. When itís either idleing or when driving if you take your foot of the accelerator the revs drop and it cuts out. When idleing if itís about to stall the revs go up and down violently. We have replaced the MAF twice, coil packs, spark plugs, checked the TPS, replaced the fuel filter checked various other things but we have had no luck at all. If itís about to stall and you put it in Nuteral it wonít stall. Possible vacuum issue or something ? Any help appreciated

    Hi and welcome.

I would remove and clean you idle air control valve, this is found at the back of the plenum.

The next step after that is to chak for air leaks causing you to have a lean mixture.

Thanks guys! I’ll try this today. I recently heard the possibility of it being the auto box... hoping it’s not! Haha
